It's important to keep your muscles energized. This can be done by exercising regularly, but sometimes when you are crunched for time, it's easier to take a warm bath. Taking a relaxing bath is proven to reduce stress levels, aid in a good night's sleep, and ease muscle aches and pains. Getting a massage is another way to loosen your muscles. Massages have amazing effects on health. They improve circulation in the body and dramatically relax muscles. These direct advantages, combined with the psychological benefits of feeling cared for, quickly produce a wonderful feeling of well-being.

Sometimes the workweek can seem to drag on and on. By Friday, you've done nothing but work all week so, even then, you're too tired to go out sometimes. Midweek, schedule an impromptu evening out with your friends to refresh yourself! This will give you something to look forward to and enjoy in the midst of your busy week. On a random Wednesday evening, call a few of your friends and visit some local bars or restaurants. It will add some variety to your work-filled life!

This winter, stock up on new winter colors. The color palette this year consists of white, gray, black, taupe, navy, blue, royal purple, green, hot pink, icy green, and icy yellow. While you're adding new winter colors to your makeup bag, throw out some of your old stuff to keep it refreshed. Cosmetics are developed to last a year or two, but contamination can occur at any time. Mascara especially should be tossed every three months without fail. The tube is a breeding ground for bacteria. It's recommended to store cosmetics in a cool, dry place outside the bathroom to extend their shelf life.

Because styles are constantly changing, so is your wardrobe. To prevent your closet's contents from getting too large, go through and take out what you haven't worn in the past year. If you haven't worn it in a year, you probably won't wear it again. As you refresh your closet by buying new clothes, you'll want to wear those more. So donate your old clothes that you no longer wear to Goodwill. To find a Goodwill location near you, please click here.

When you think of going out to eat, you probably think of all of the same places you've been lately. This season, mix it up! Try new foods at places you normally wouldn't go. Moroccan food-dishes characterized by rich spices-is constantly growing in popularity. Harissa, a paste of garlic, chiles, olive oil, and salt, makes for fiery dishes that stand out among the milder foods that are more the Mediterranean norm. Lamb is a principal meat-Moroccan roasted lamb is cooked until tender enough to be pulled apart and eaten with the fingers. It is often topped with raisin and onion sauces, or even an apricot puree. No matter where or what you decide to eat while you're out, be sure to keep New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor in your purse. It's infused with Scope flavor and helps prevent surface stains in between teeth to keep your smile white, refreshed, and clean any time of the day.

Going out to eat every day at work can certainly make a dent in your bank account. Refresh your lunch hour by packing your lunch and eating inside rather than going out. This saves time and money in the long run. But, because it's so important to get out of the office, grab a coworker or two and take a walk outside after you've eaten inside. The fresh air will rejuvenate you and give you energy to finish your workday.

When the workweek seems longer than usual, it's important to take time to let loose. Instead of hanging out in your hometown for another weekend, plan a getaway for you and some friends or your significant other. Even if it's just to a city a few hours away, a much-needed change of scenery will feel refreshing. Plan some fun activities while you're away and enjoy your time off. Take pictures to document your exciting trip and to entice you to do it more often!

Between dinner and bedtime, refresh your mind with a media break. Turn off the TV and the computer. Curl up in your bed or a cozy chair with a book or a magazine. Or maybe meditate in a quiet room. You'll sleep better and feel more at peace with the world. And don't forget pre-bedtime rituals are perfect for nightly flossing. I recommend New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss to feel completely cleansed and ready for sleep thanks to the infusion of Scope.

After awhile, running and doing sit-ups can become unexciting. Spice up your workout with new ventures such as hiking or kickboxing. Hiking allows you to get great exercise for your legs (as well as settle your mind) and to travel at your own pace while de-stressing at the same time. Kickboxing is an up-and-coming sport that uses kicks, punches, and throws-practiced for general fitness. It's a total body workout that refreshes your body while increasing your stamina, flexibility, and strength. You won't get bored while you're kickboxing!

Be sure to refresh your complexion every four to six weeks in order to boost your skin's radiance. You can do this by getting a facial or trying a self-heating mask. A facial is a great way to clean, exfoliate, and nourish your skin to make it clear and well hydrated. Facials include a facial massage that helps to relax you and stimulate your skin's facial muscles. One way to achieve a refreshing at-home facial is to use a self-heating mask. These masks open your pores to provide an intense, deep clean. These are recommended to be used twice a week.

Every now and then, it's important to look at the contents of your clutch and determine what has been in there way too long and what should be in there that's not. Along with the essentials (mobile phone, money, ID, keys), remember to bring something to freshen your breath. Do away with gum and mints by engaging in something that's actually New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss. It's infused with Scope flavor and helps prevent surface stains in between teeth to keep your smile white, refreshed, and clean any time of the day.

Outfits are all about color this fall, and the color combinations are all about clash. Stylists this season love high contrast. Combinations such as yellow dresses with green shoes are the "it" things. These clothes promote limited accessories, thus adding a refreshing touch to your look. Drew Barrymore chose this green/yellow color combination in a Carolina Herrera dress and Louboutin shoes. Eva Longoria also wore this color combination in a Gustavo Cadile dress and Rickard Shah shoes. Pastels are out for now. If you're going to use colors, use vivid colors.

Take some time to be good to the environment and to your body. Instead of driving to work one day, ride a bike! It will provide some exercise and fresh air, plus you won't use gasoline. Biking is a nice way to refresh your mornings and start you off on the right foot...literally! Other ways to conserve gas are to carpool with a friend who works near you or to catch the bus. They're sensible ways to refresh your car and the environment!

When you run out of styling gel, take the opportunity to try a new product or one with new styling features. Or try a new flavor of toothpaste, maybe one with whitening. One great new product to try is the New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss, which combines whitening for the spaces between your teeth with the refreshing flavor of Scope.

Do something different. Why not try one of fall's tousled hair looks today? To achieve the look, apply gel or volumizing spray onto your roots while hair is still damp. Blow-dry using a large-size round brush. Wrap ends around a large curling iron to create loose waves. Hold hair in place with spray or loosely finger-comb a mixture of gel and a few drops of hair oil through your waves to eliminate frizz.

You may find yourself using the same cooking methods every night. This week, attempt to refresh your repertoire by expanding your cooking techniques. In addition to buying healthier foods, try cooking with liquids or high-heat roasting. Most of us put the oven at 350 degrees, but cooking at 450 degrees or higher is a great way to intensify flavor and produce a crisp exterior in less time. Instead of heating your veggies in the microwave, think about roasting them with some oil, salt, and pepper. The high heat will intensify their flavor. Your family or guests will appreciate the variety at your dinner table.

Now is as great of a time as ever to start eating healthier. Next time you go to the grocery store, start checking nutrition facts to ensure that you buy the healthiest options of foods you love. Or, you can make a focused effort to refresh your diet and eat only healthy foods. Take the candy bars and ice cream off your shopping list and replace them with your favorite fruits and veggies. While you're thinking healthy, don't forget to keep your mouth healthy, too. Pick up some New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss. It's infused with Scope flavor and helps prevent surface stains in between teeth to keep your smile white, refreshed, and clean any time of the day.

When you've only worn one perfume for a long time, you get used to it and so does everyone else. Keep things fresh and make people wonder what scent you're wearing by switching your fragrances every few weeks. No matter what scent you try, it's important to make it last throughout the day without overwhelming your coworkers. To do this, spray perfume on the back of your wrists, knees, and neck. Don't rub it because that only crushes the molecules of the fragrance and ruins the scent. And keep your scents circulating to stay refreshed!

Instead of spending time getting ready and then going out on the town this Saturday night, spend some time inside. Having your friends over for a fondue night is a great way to spend time together, and it gives you time to have fun and catch up with each other. You can choose to make cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, or both. Then, dip crackers or strawberries in your homemade treat for a refreshing night of good food with good friends.

Your room can seem boring after awhile. To refresh it, switch up your styles. Change the color theme in your room by buying some new accessories and updating your bedding. If you aren't ready for an all-out room makeover, just rearrange it. Changing the way your room looks without actually losing or gaining anything can make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

It is important to stretch your capabilities, whatever your field. Do something that makes you afraid. In the time between big projects at work, kick off an initiative you've been contemplating. Try something out of your routine. Ask for more challenging projects. Or present work to executives. Maybe offer to lead presentations to clients. Take e-learning classes. Getting outside your comfort zone can give your career a real boost.

Sharpen your image by offering to mentor a new employee. You don't have to be perfect or have achieved the highest levels of management. Change it up. Try new things. Light candles. Celebrate the love you have in your life. In the spaces between dinner and bedtime, relax and read some magazine tips on new ways to thrill your mate. Try someplace new or turn on some music. Add some sizzle. Or do something thoughtful. Show your loved one how much you care.

Change it up. Between waking and heading out the door, alter your routine for a new outlook on life. If you normally run, try biking. Swap out your morning coffee for a healthier green tea. Get up early and do some stretching exercises or Tai Chi outdoors. No matter how you change it up, every morning ritual should include flossing. Try New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss which helps prevent stains between your teeth with the refreshing flavor of Scope.

Everything you eat is either good or bad for your energy, your body, and your spirits. Fill your body with things that will give you the energy you need to handle your life in style. Protein shakes are an efficient way to fuel your days. Keep fruits and vegetables at hand as they are the best energy source of all. An apple fits in your purse just as easily as a chocolate bar and is so much better for you.

One handbag in the hottest style is well worth the splurge because you can carry it daily. Oversized clutches continue to be a favorite among my trendsetter clients. Popular couture collections feature decadent oversized leather with chain straps, texture, metallic touches, buckles, and oversized logos. If your budget doesn't allow changing purses with the season, start your own version of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Go in on a purse with some friends and take turns carrying it for a week. Or try one of the many online retailers that let you borrow or rent purses by the week or by the month.

It is recommended that you change your toothbrush every three months. At that point, toothbrushes are too worn out to be as effective as they should be. However, some electric rechargeable toothbrushes have excellent brush heads that only need to be changed every six months. When you buy a new toothbrush, be sure to pick up New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor floss. It's infused with Scope flavor and helps prevent surface stains in between teeth to keep your smile white, refreshed, and clean any time of the day.

Between parties and work, be sure to sprinkle your life with culture. Off-Broadway plays and foreign films, for example, are nurturing and enlightening. Often lectures at the universities are free and open your mind to new ideas. Gallery openings let you mingle while broadening your horizons with art. Be sure to get on mailing lists at universities, galleries, art houses, and more; that way, you'll be the go-to party gal with fun ideas of great things to do.

A quick way to add a lot of pizzazz to your bedroom is to freshen up with some new bed linens. A comforter in a fashionable color might be just the thing your room needs. Try a new bright color to lift your spirits. Or maybe a cozy deep hue to add warmth this fall. Current linens not so tired? Keep them, add new, and change out seasonally.

The trends from New York's Fashion Week for fall 2007 were glamorous but restrained and very grown-up. Think suiting, tailored, structured, and efficient. Or refresh your wardrobe with some whimsical touches such as gold faux bamboo earrings, shiny leggings, or brightly colored dresses like my celebrity clients. If dresses aren't your thing, consider a brightly colored turtle neck to stay true to the trend of vivid colors. For that refined, sophisticated look, you must have a long, lean pencil skirt this fall. For accessories, refresh your casual outfits with a rugged brown belt.

I always tell clients: Know your business! You need to know the terminology and references, and how to speak the lingo with confidence. Get involved in local trade associations, as well. Do local, and then go national. Try to stay true to your own style and what really excites you. Create, create, create, and create.

Sure your invitation is on the most coveted list, but a new flavor might be just the thing your guests crave. Consider adding a fund-raising aspect to your gatherings, such as maybe a silent auction for your favorite charity. Set out ice-breaking mind teasers on a side table for guests to test each other's wit or to spur introductions. If you have a friend who is an activist or politician, invite him or her to speak to add an educational aspect to your soirées.

Adding a new pair of shoes between seasons can really refresh your wardrobe. Fall is a transition time between summer sandals and winter pumps, so pick up a pair of peep-toe slingbacks to get you through in style. Heel styles this fall should be slimmer but not to the point of stiletto. Subtle metallic detailing in gold is good. Try a pair of oxford booties or tall cuffed boots. Toe styles for fall are more rounded. I've been recommending cap-toe shoes, ankle boots, and banded flats (think ballerina) to my celebrity clients.

For an easy trick that refreshes your abode without any extra cost, try changing around your artworks and paintings. You may love the landscape picture above your mantle, but how about trying it in your bedroom for a while? The sculpture on the coffee table may enjoy a whole new life on a kitchen counter or by a lamp in a front hall. You can also try touching up the paint on your walls as a way to refresh them. Mix it up.

Many of my clients are busy. You are, too. So it's important to get into a good annual routine for checkups and other preventative measures. Pick a time such as your birthday month or after the Oscars® in which to schedule all of your appointments: dentist, physician, gynecologist, eye doctor, and mammogram. Follow this routine every year.

It's great to rub elbows with the in-crowd, but sometimes it's fun to change up your routine and meet new people. Try taking a wine-tasting class to refine your palette and meet people who share your interest in wine. How about joining a women's networking group or volunteering time to your favorite cause? Many cities also have great industry-specific associations such as advertising clubs, writers' groups, or realtors' associations. Try something new for those between-spaces on your calendar.

For a simple party tip, I encourage my clients to scan newspaper or online headlines in the moments between getting ready and heading out for a party. Look for an interesting fact or data point to memorize and share with other guests. This will help deepen your aura as a worldly, informed, and knowledgeable person. Plus it puts others at ease to have conversation topics.

After wrap on a big movie, post-Fashion Week, or between big projects at work, it is important to stop and revitalize your spirits. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back for completing a task. If time allows, take a day off from work and treat yourself to a spa day. At the least, give yourself a mani-pedi on a Saturday to rejuvenate.

Tired of your living-room furniture, but not ready to invest in a new sofa? Try a new arrangement. I have a cozy winter setting with chairs snuggled next to the fire. My summer style has the chairs and sofa spread evenly across the room. Also for the change of seasons into fall, switch out your throws, lampshades, and pillows to a warm shade such as red.

When it comes to their oral-care routine, most people think of it as a pre-bedtime, at-home activity, but I always tell my clients that if they want fresh breath and pearly whites all day, it’s important to fit activities like flossing into the spaces between their engagements. New Glide® Whitening Plus Scope® Flavor flavor floss is a favorite; it is infused with Scope flavor and helps prevent surface stains in between teeth to keep your smile refreshed and clean any time of the day. Do away with your gum and mints by engaging in something that’s actually healthy!

Makeup and hair tend to fall flat between the morning when you leave your house and the evening when you go out, so make sure to freshen up your look between day and night. I always tell my clients this before stepping out of that limo, and now you can do it, too. Before you head out of the office to meet your friends, flip your head over and spritz a little hairspray. This will give you some extra volume and that sexy, tousled look!

It's hard to put your best foot forward if you are hungry and fatigued, and I find that too often people who I work with wait until it's too late to refuel. It's important to stock up on energy bars and keep one in your purse or clutch so you can refresh your energy between meals.

The outfit that seemed fun and fresh when you left the house can feel boring by the end of the day when you're getting ready to head out for drinks. Flashy accessories are the best way to refresh an outfit between working all day and a night on the town. Keep a clutch inside your purse, stuff it with the essentials, and leave your bulkier bag back at the office.
